I am
a professional artist
and graphic designer
who was living in a
beautiful old village
where the kings of Spain
are buried in a famous
monastery. Now I am
in a beautiful small
town in Oregon. And
they are similar in
many ways.
I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, then lived in California and Oregon, before I came to Barcelona.
Since coming to Europe I traveled and lived in Holland, Mexico, Costa Rica and southern China, now I am back in Oregon. All of these places and people are reflected in some way in my painting.
The
study of traditional
art and academic techniques,
copying the Old Masters,
as well as my background
in graphic design -
form the base for the
contemporary style of
my work.
I
found my own "voice"
in the latest organic
abstracts- part
landscape, part human
shape on a floating
white field.
I keep
adding to my repertoire
of little 5 x 7 inch
paintings. See them
on the blog Painting
in Spain and Oregon.
Some I did for the goat
and llama refuge were
recently described as
Folk Art influenced.
Graphic design and computer art projects have included websites, brochures, posters, and multimedia-CD presentations. My most recent website was for a jewellery designer in Nerja, Spain.
